This summer RTI began serving eligible transition students ages 14-22 as a provider for RSC’s Bridges to Transition program.  This program has been developed to provide the training and resources needed to ensure successful transition from school to work and is a cooperative agreement between the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission, Ohio Association of County Boards, Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities, school districts, employers, students and their families.

RTI’s vocational services coordinators, job developer, and supported employment specialists are currently working with board eligible consumers in transition or who have recently transitioned from school to work. The services provided include career exploration, job try-outs, work adjustment skills training, job development and job coaching.  The supported employment department within adult services is looking forward to this partnership being a success.
